Oxford Dermatology consultation fees fairly reflect the specialist opinions provided by our Doctors, quality of our staff and the unique services we provide.
These fees are to be paid in full on the day of your consultation.
Please be aware these fees are not covered by your Private Health Fund
Patients will be advised of all fees, and any Medicare rebate they may be entitled to, for the procedure they require at the time of financial consent.
Please be aware these fees are not covered by your Private Health Fund.
Oxford Dermatology may charge a Doctors Out Of Pocket fee when a procedure is required to be performed in the Day Surgery.
Our staff will advise of any out of pocket expenses at the time of your financial consent. Your out of pocket expenses will depend on the level of Health cover you have with your Private Health Fund. Some health covers may cover this “gap”.
Veterans with a DVA Gold Card and ADF patients will be fully covered for the cost of all treatments, including the doctor’s fees.
Veterans holding a DVA White Card may be covered depending on their cover. Our staff will provide checks for you to determine what you may be covered for.
Please make sure you bring your DVA card to your appointment.
As a specialist dermatology clinic, our doctors typically submit any skin specimens and samples to a Pathology provider.
In most cases there will be no out-of-pocket expense as we request that the Pathology Provider bulk bill our patients. However, as these companies are completely unrelated to Oxford Dermatology please contact the Pathology Laboratory with any Pathology-related fee enquiries.
Pathology Laboratories we predominantly use are :
• Clinipath Pathology – 9476 5222
• Heenan Lam Pathology – 9386 3500
• Bunbury Pathology – 9791 6801
• Pathwest – 9346 3000
